ACHE Innovation Grant jumpstarted committee organizing efforts in January 2011, followed by first Diversity focused Luncheon and evening video-conference event held in May 2011.

Provide a forum on diversity issues and their impact on the healthcare workforce
Support ACHE policy statements on diversity and define specific chapter goals appropriate for WA State
Increase cultural competency by supporting educational and leadership opportunities for diversity in healthcare management
