Healthcare Reform Materials:

Dear WSHEF Members,

In service of our mission to promote interaction and communication among healthcare professionals; to foster professional development and educational forums, and to address critical healthcare issues on local, state, and national levels, WSHEF is pleased to make available materials that are timely and relevant to issues of national importance that will be addressed in the coming months.

To this end, please find two documents from which you can read, consider and begin to dialogue with one another. Mouse over the document titles to article link.

  1) "Healthcare Policy in an Obama Administration: Delivering on the Promise of Universal Coverage" - Published in December 2008 by PricewaterhouseCooper's Health Research Institute, this document outlines the key tenets of now President Obama's Health Care Reform ideas.  

2)  "WSHA Statement" - Written in January 2009 by Cassie Sauer, Vice President of Communications, this document refers to the Obama Health Policy report and offers a brief perspective on the health reform environment in general.
